Eaton Corporation Facility Coordinator in Edmonton, Alberta

Eaton’s Electrical sector is seeking an Facility Coordinator to join our team. This position is based out of our Edmonton, Alberta office and offers benefits Day 1.

What you’ll do:

The Facility Coordinator manages the systems of the physical plant environment so that they work in harmony with one another and compliance with occupational health and safety guideline. The coordinator will also focus on infrastructure and equipment maintenance. Making sure to prioritize the safety, comfort, sustainability and productivity of the EPC and places where people work and spend most the time. This role is reporting to the Production and Plant Manager.

In this function you will:

  • Provide a safe and secure working environment for occupants and employees.

  • Ensure buildings run within a set budget through monthly project timeline and financial planning.

  • Hire the right contractors to conduct hard and soft facilities management services.

  • Conducts inspections of workplaces and takes proper action to ensure compliance. Responds to and investigates complaints and concerns from all stakeholders and takes appropriate action.

  • Manage the TPM & checklist and evaluation of all production and EHS critical equipment.

  • Create maintenance for all critical equipment, supporting to MESH.

  • Duties include running routine safety inspections, corresponding with contractors, planning maintenance work, and keeping records.

  • Focus on the corrective, preventative, condition-based, predictive, and predetermined activities daily to prevent any major equipment and facility failure.

  • Manage any unexpected equipment and building failure for reactive maintenance, reporting to quality manager.

  • Keep building and all facilities up to code and accurately follow maintenance protocol.

  • Operates and supports custodial functions. Organize all documentations related to maintenance and contractors.

  • Run routine maintenance inspections and arrange for all critical equipment & building critical works.

  • Support maintenance and installment work as needed.

Qualifications:

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education in Facility Management or a related field from an accredited institution

  • Three (3) years of experience in Facility Management/infrastructure and Safety Practitioner.

  • Must be able to work in Canada without corporate sponsorship now and in the future.

  • No relocation benefit is being offered for this position. Only candidates residing within a 80km radius of Edmonton, Alberta will be considered.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Four (4) years’ experience managing, planning, and supporting facility budgets requirements annually.

  • Two (2) years’ knowledge of HVAC and other building systems.
