Lockheed Martin Quality Engineer Associate Manager - Fort Worth, TX in Fort Worth, Texas

Description: Lockheed Martin is seeking a motivated and driven Quality Engineer (QE) Associate Manager for a position based in Fort Worth, TX. The position requires quality engineering experience developing and reviewing quality standards, methods, work instructions, and procedures for the inspection of manufactured and procured products. This position will provide support to GMLRS Program.

Responsibilities Include:

Reviews documentation related to internal and external manufacturing processes to ensure quality products are delivered to the customer.

Support Integrated Product Teams/ Supplier Management Teams and various production sites with reviews of quality data and information on yield, designs, test, non-conformances, risk mitigation, root cause, preventative actions, corrective actions, audits, and qualification.

Ability to analyze and resolve process issues varying from basic to very complex.

Engage daily with LM sites to proactively work improvements and prevent issue occurrence.

Interface with customers, suppliers, LM sites, and program personnel on quality related issues.

Participate as an active member of Material Review Boards and Failure Review Boards which includes dispositioning non-conforming hardware, identifying hardware containment requirements, identifying appropriate root cause and corrective action is taken to prevent recurrence.

Perform assessments and audits on processes and procedures to ensure compliance to specifications, engineering drawings, procedures and ISO-9001/ AS9100.

Evaluate the design assurance activities and implementation of production process methodology to prevent impacts to production velocity and quality.

Lead, develop, and manage Quality Engineer (QE) team while working with cross-functional teams (such as Engineering, Subcontract Management, Program Management, Suppliers, and Manufacturing) and make complex final decisions.

Utilize lean initiatives to reduce waste and maintain continuous improvements.

Earned Value Management System (EVMS) - Cost Account Manager for various work packages and provide support for contract quality bids and proposals.

This position requires previous Quality Engineering or Supplier Quality Engineering experience developing and reviewing quality standards, method, work instructions, and procedures for the inspection of manufactured and procured products.

Basic Qualifications:

-STEM Degree at the Bachelor level or above or equivalent experience/combined education.

-Ability to obtain a security clearance.

-Engineering or Quality experience developing methods/ processes, work instructions, and procedures for the inspection of manufactured products.

-Ability to interpret drawings and specifications to develop and apply quality test and inspection methods and translate into work instructions.

-Ability to interpret drawings, specifications, contracts that will enable development and review of QE processes, and related performance metrics.

-Demonstrated understanding of audit techniques.

-Demonstrated ability to use causal analysis tools to analyze and resolve technical/ process issues varying from basic to very complex.

-Experience in disposition of non-conforming products and failure review boards.

-Experience with process capability analysis and interpretation, gage R&R, or measurement system analysis.

-Advanced experience in Geometric Dimension and Tolerance.

-Knowledge of Configuration and Data Management.

-Strong interpersonal skills that promote teamwork and collaboration across multiple functions and motivate support personnel to achieve common goals.

-Ability to travel (typically around 25%)

Desired Skills:

-Engineering Degree at the Bachelors or Masters Level highly preferred.

-SAP or Apriso Application Experience

-Lean/ Six Sigma Green or Black Belt Certification

-Special Process Engineering Experience

-ASQ Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) and/ or Certified Quality Improvement Associate (CQIA)

-Advanced AS9100 Interpretation and Application Experience

-Experience Working with Government Customers

-Experience with performing AS9102 First Article Inspections or AS9145 APQP & PPAP.

-Experience with the DD250 process.

-Experience working Quality support on a manufacturing floor.

-Effective Communication Skills - written, oral, listening, and technical writing.

-Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications: Work, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, etc.

-Strong knowledge of industry recognized Quality systems such International (ISO), aerospace (AS), and FAA regulations.

-Statistical Process Control (SPC)/ Key Characteristics (KC) Experience.

-Test Equipment Experience.

-Prior knowledge of GMLRS.

Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.

Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.

Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
