We are looking for an experienced and motivated individual to fill the position of Quality Assurance Specialist for our Onshore Resources & Carbon Management, Production Operations asset.

 

This position will be located in our Midland, TX. The Quality Assurance Specialist will focus on optimizing QAQC techniques for Well Servicing, downhole material inspection & auditing, and downhole vendor qualification and auditing for all ORCM domestic properties. This individual is also responsible for facilitating alignment and allocation of resources and work activities for QAQC processes with Asset Well Surveillance, Asset Reservoir teams, and Production Operations Well Servicing along with affiliated ORCM Production Operations teams.

 

Roles and Responsibilities:

·         Maintain equipment specification with all downhole vendors

·         Collaborate with SCM/Material Specialists on artificial lift material levels (forecasting) and availability – used/inspected, new, trade and scrap.

·         Thorough Knowledge and understanding of all lift type Operating Business Practices, expert for Well Servicing best practices for AL equipment handling.

·         Training requirements and delivery of Well Servicing and Maintenance requirements.

·         Onsite assessment, support and documentation of Well Servicing and Maintenance activities.

·         Review and assessment of supplier/vendor training and quality control for materials.

·         Downhole material inspection and vendor process auditing

·         Critical member of area IST meetings to help determine appropriate RCFA and have consistent application across ORCM Business Units. o Provide Sample collection and testing process

·         Expert on Root Cause Failure Analysis processes.

·         Train personnel on RCFA procedures.

·         Implementation of process changes.

·         Focus on problem crews/gangs for training opportunities.

·         Develop, track and report on critical KPIs to show progress.

·         Review reliability KPI’s and assist in making recommendations for operational improvements.

Qualifications

Qualifications:

·         Bachelor’s degree or equivalent operational experience in QAQC and RCFA techniques, downhole lift equipment design, downhole material properties and applicable downhole servicing procedures, and/or chemical experience.

·         A minimum of 3 years of industry experience in RCFA, and well servicing techniques. Additional experience in Analysis, Lift, Chemical, or Downhole operations is desired.

·         Excellent understanding of all QAQC and RCFA technical aspects.

·         Thorough understanding of artificial lift downhole designs, specifications, and equipment.

·         Thorough understanding of well servicing and maintenance material handling techniques.

·         Demonstrated ability to contribute to business / financial / economic analysis and planning.

·         Ability to develop others technical skills (i.e. training/development of work groups in QA/QC techniques).

·         Problem solving skills with ability to analyze and recommend solutions on problems of high complexity.

·         Demonstrated ability to drive results in self and others.
